Since the announcement of the Bafin collective decree of July 2021, small insurance companies as well as staff pension funds, death benefit funds and similar pension schemes are obliged to provide Bafin with details of their portfolios at regular intervals.

The three reports and two attachments enable the supervisory authority to verify compliance with the Investment Ordinance/Pension Fund Ordinance.

The amendment in 2021 will increase the focus on the following points:

• Bail-in Bonds
• Quality of the credit institutions behind the bank accounts
• Increase in the rating levels
